Leather boots come back with new soles, and shoes worn for twenty years get their heels replaced along with in-soles, tongues and laces. The heavy leather work happens at the same counter as the fine stitching, which is rare in one shop.
A jammed zip on a puffer jacket is replaced rather than written off, and loose buttons are tightened while the garment is in. Split seams and worn linings are restitched so the piece goes back into use.
